West Mercian Wing

West Mercian Wing is one of six wings in Wales and West Region and is made up of the old counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire. As county boundaries have changed and new local authority areas have been formed it now inludes squadrons in Cheshire (1) and the West Midlands (5). For administrative purposes West Mercian Wing also parents Number 1 (Overseas) Squadron at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus.

As with all ATC wings, West Mercian Wing is commanded by a Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (Training) Wing Commander.

The Wing has its headquarters at and is parented by RAF Cosford.
